Before you turn your\u00a0Instagram chat into a book<\/strong>, you first have to\u00a0download a copy of your conversations<\/strong>\u00a0from Instagram.<\/p>\n

This is a\u00a0native Instagram function<\/strong>\u00a0that every Instagram user has access to.<\/p>\n

The file you download from Instagram contains\u00a0all your Instagram chats<\/strong>. You can then upload the chat you want to turn into a book to zapptales.<\/p>\n

We\u2018ll now show you\u00a0how to download this file.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Important note:<\/strong> We recommend that you export your Instagram data and upload your chat to zapptales on your PC<\/strong>, as the process is much clearer and more convenient. However, you can also perform these steps on your cell phone or in the Instagram app.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section>\r\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

To access your Instagram data, you have to log in to the Meta Account Centre<\/a>. Simply follow this link: https:\/\/accountscenter.meta.com\/<\/a><\/p>\n

Here you can log in with your Instagram login information.<\/p>\n

Click on \u2018Your Information and Permissions<\/strong>\u2019 in the menu bar on the left.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section><\/p><\/div>

Now scroll down<\/strong> and tick the box next to \u201cMessages\u201d<\/strong> \u2013 this is the last item under the heading \u201cYour activities\u201d.<\/p>\n

Then click on \u201cNext\u201d<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section><\/p><\/div>

Set the time period<\/strong> you want to download, enter your email address, select \u2018HTML\u2019<\/strong> for the format of your information, and select \u2018Medium\u2019<\/strong> for the image quality.<\/p>\n

Then click on \u2018Submit request\u2019<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section><\/p><\/div>

Great! You have just requested an export of your Instagram messages.<\/p>\n

As soon as your data is ready for download, you will receive a notification<\/strong> from Instagram. This process usually takes only 10 to 20 minutes<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section><\/p><\/div>

Now you will be redirected to the Instagram website again. You may have to enter your Instagram credentials again in this step.<\/p>\n

Now click on “Download”<\/strong>. A ZIP file containing your Instagram data will then be downloaded to your PC.<\/p>\n

Important note:<\/strong> Remember where you saved the ZIP file. You will need it in the next step to upload the desired chat to zapptales.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section><\/p><\/div>

Well done! You have reached the final step. Using your PC, you can now upload the ZIP file you just created to the zapptales software.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section>
