Before you turn your Facebook Messenger Chat into a book<\/strong>, you first have to download a copy of your conversations<\/strong> from Facebook.<\/p>\n

The file you download from Facebook contains all your Facebook chats<\/strong>. You can then upload the chat you want to turn into a book to zapptales.<\/p>\n

Step 1<\/h3>\n

Open your Facebook account<\/strong> and click on the small triangle<\/strong> in the top right corner of your screen (1) to access your \u201eSettings<\/strong>\u201c (2). Next, click on \u201eYour Facebook Information<\/strong>\u201c (3) and then on \u201eDownload a copy of your information\u2026<\/strong>\u201c (4).<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section><\/div>

Step 2<\/h3>\n

On this page you can select the data you want to download from Facebook.<\/p>\n

First, click \u201eDeselect All<\/strong>\u201c (1). Then, tick the box in the \u201eMessages<\/strong>\u201c section (2) to download your chats only. Finally, just click on \u201eCreate File\u201c (3) in the top right corner.<\/p>\n

Facebook will then prepare the download of your messages. This process can take up to 15 minutes, depending on the number and size of your chats.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section><\/div>

Step 3<\/h3>\n

Once your chats are ready for download, Facebook sends you a \u201eNotification<\/strong>\u201c (1). Click it to access the downloads summary.<\/p>\n

Click on \u201eDownload<\/strong>\u201c (2) to save a copy of your Facebook chats on your computer.<\/p>\n

Update on 01.05.2018<\/p>\n

Facebook did some changes recently to the way the data is exported and we are currently adapting to this new format,\u00a0therefore it is not possible at the moment\u00a0to create a book of a Facebook Chat.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Our development team is working on this issue\u00a0and an update is planned for Friday the 4th of May.<\/p>\n

The good news is that it will be even easier to create a book and the media files import to the software is now better \ud83d\ude0a<\/p><\/div><\/div>
